Since 2002, Altran is in the race with the ING Renault F1 Team. The fruitful collaboration has been resulting in 4 world championship titles. As European leader and a worldwide player in innovation consulting, the Altran Group is the ideal partner for a manufacturer like Renault in what could be described as the most prestigious form of motor racing.

Our consultants play a key role in the design of the engine – in aerodynamics, real time IT, project management, mathematical modelisation, logistics - to maximise its breathing efficiency, to improve its reliability in extreme conditions and optimise its performance with on board electronics. We are also working in the fields of project management and simulation.

 In an environment as competitive as Formula One racing, in order to be successful, the best teams must be backed by the most advanced competencies available. Formula 1 puts innovation first and foremost, within the boundaries of certain rules, providing an exciting challenge for Altran’s consultants.

The Altran Engineering Academy offers recent and future engineering graduates the opportunity to be part of this adventure for 6 months. This competition provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the technological expertise of the ‘‘people behind the scenes’’ – the mechanics and engineers – who work in tandem with drivers to achieve maximum performance.
