Solutions for test benches

Based on Altran experience in test benches applications, the aim is to upgrade an existing static validation test application with a dynamic solution to be created with Altran consulting and low cost hardware products.

Static solutions are suitable for simple systems: the tester has to modify manually the inputs of the system with respect to its outputs. The principle of a dynamic test solution iis to simulate the physical environment of either an ECU or a distributed function communicating on a CAN network. This requires its input to be deluded synchronously and follow physical coherency. This can be done either on bench of a vehicle.

The objective is to upgrade validation test applications with an automatic test solution to be created with Altran consulting and low cost hardware products. The principle of this automatic test solution is to execute in place of a human tester some validation tests (either on a bench or on a vehicle) either on an ECU or on a distributed function communicating on a CAN network.

Electronic reliability (ER) by durability tests on vehicle

Electronic reliability by durability tests on vehicle is defined as durable reliability of the electronic system in a vehicle (including Electronic Control Units, harness, in vehicle networking, connectors and electronic systems reactions) in end user utilization. This is performed in three phases:

Phase 1 :
 Process definition, Driving programs, ER team definition, reliability target definition
 Writing tests cases (single ECU test cases + functional test cases) from vehicle specifications (listed in inputs from car maker).
 Final electronic debug on alfa prototype (if required)
 Training for tech transfer

Phase 2 :
 Vehicle driving, tests application, data collection with datalogger tools (MUXlog R), fault management (assignement, analyse, expertise,correction, …)
 Training for tech transfer
